All cards need a way of private management procedures and control maintenance because a Chip Card carries lots of Data Objects that need to be managed. CAM meets all of the requirements if a customer wishes to generate a smart card profile. Chip & Application Management is the ‘heart' of Smartcard.

CAM is the center of the Card Life Cycle Management Processes and enables card issuers to centrally manage the complete life cycle of an unlimited number of cards and card applications. The application management module of smart card management systems stands central to all of the applications and manages their life cycle. CAM works with the applications on the smart card which may include full access including diversities like physical, digital, logical and much more. 
SmartSoft, the Chip card and EMV expert, reflects its card knowledge elaborately via CAM. The SmartSoft CAM solution is a tailor made method for the each card based on the customer's card profile needs. It is not a standard platform to band production. It has several uses like a finance card, non-finance card, health, id, and campus card.

In addition, the system provides application updates, new application uploads to the chip in the card via remote smartcard accessing with a reader (ATM, KIOSK, CAP, POS ) interface.
