The 2009 "Cards & Payments Europe Awards", which has been organized and announced internationally for 22 years by "Cards International" and "Electronic Payments International" were awarded to their recipients in Prague with a ceremony.
Bank Asya's AsyaCard DIT, is a multi-function contactless credit card that qualified to receive an award in the category of ‘Best New Credit Card Product Launch' in the competition that is organized every year on the global scale where banks and banking products are evaluated in 10 separate categories. The AsyaCard DIT PayPass was nominated for an award by MasterCard as it was one of the most advanced contactless credit cards launched up to the present and qualified for the finals. Bank Asya succeeded in being the "only" Turkish bank on behalf of Turkey in all of the categories.
Bank Asya Deputy General Manager Unsal SOZBIR, who accepted the award on behalf of Bank Asya, noted that the AsyaCard DIT has become a worldwide registered trademark and took its place among the world's most developed multi-function credit cards with international awards, including the latest award received. Mr. Sozbir also indicated that the bank has achieved great success with AsyaCard DIT in transport projects where it was applied in a very short time and concluded that the AsyaCard DIT has acquired great style since May 2008 when it was introduced and has reached to 350 thousand Bank Asya users in a very short time.

In addition to contactless operation points, the AsyaCard DIT, which entails all operations that users realized through different cards until now, enables its customers to conduct transactions rapidly without waiting and it provides great ease at the KGS (electronic toll collection system) placed at more than 300 points, including the two bridges over the Bosporus in Istanbul, mass transportation vehicles, and taxis within the scope of various transport projects. Moreover card issuing can be done from a branch following the DIT card request from the customer and can be delivered directly to the customer in 15 minutes via the "Instant Issuing" system that is set up in all of the Bank Asya branches.
