SmartSoft, which was founded in 2001 to develop chip-based EMV and payment software, is today providing services for card payment systems and smartcard technology. Becoming aware of the EMV chip-based systems gap in the sector, SmartSoft effectively put its R&D company characteristics into action with EMV chip based solutions. SmartSoft, who had also entered the payment processing solutions arena in the second half of the current decade, is now among the leading companies manufacturing range of products for horizontal and vertical markets.

With the establishment of Credo and Cordis in 2009, SmartSoft was reorganized under SmartGroup by expanding its service network in end-to-end banking technology solutions with SmartSoft, in vertical market hardware products with Credo and in loyalty card processing with Cordis. Thanks to innovative solutions developed in compliance with the International Card Specifications namely EMVCo, VISA, MasterCard, EPCA and MULTOS, SmartSoft has been duly approved, recommended and awarded by many worldwide renowned institutions such as EPCA, MasterCard, VISA, EMVCo, MULTOS, SESAMES and ISO. In 2010, SmartSoft has become MasterCard-accredited vendor globally for providing guidance to issuers and acquirers who are preparing for contact chip implementation.  SmartSoft also provides technical support during execution of chip and contactless migration projects.
